This course aims to develop students’ understanding and appreciation of literature through close engagement with different genres, themes, and styles. By reading, analyzing, and interpreting literary works, students learn to identify literary devices, examine narrative structures, and understand the cultural, historical, and social contexts that influence meaning. This study strengthens critical and analytical thinking as students evaluate characters, ideas, and authorial techniques. It also enhances language proficiency by expanding vocabulary, improving grammar awareness, and encouraging clear and creative expression. Through discussion and written analysis, students improve their ability to form arguments, express opinions, and communicate interpretations effectively.
