This module introduces students to the fundamental principles of academic research and scholarly inquiry. It aims to develop students’ understanding of how research is defined, conducted, and evaluated in the academic context. During the first semester, students will explore the nature and purpose of research, topic selection, literature review, and issues of plagiarism. In the second semester, the focus will shift to in-text citation, research design, and research ethics. By the end of the module, students will acquire the essential skills and knowledge required to plan, structure, and conduct basic academic research in their field of study. |
