This course introduces second-year EFL students to key themes and techniques in English literature through short fiction and poetry. Students will explore how writers use character, setting, and symbolism to express ideas and emotions. Close reading activities will build critical thinking and interpretation skills in English. The course emphasizes discussion, literary vocabulary, and response writing. A final project will analyze two short stories and one poem in depth to demonstrate literary understanding in the light of the literary movements.
