This course aims to equip students with the skills to create a logical, robust, and ethical plan (blueprint) for conducting research. It focuses on aligning research questions with appropriate methodologies—qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods—to ensure valid, reliable, and justified conclusions.

By the end of this course, students are expected to attain the following objectives:

  • Formulate clear research problems and convert them into systematic and feasible research plans.

  • Acquire methodological knowledge of what constitutes a research design and its major types.

  • Learn techniques related to rigor and validity to ensure that data collection and analysis are valid, reliable, and produce justifiable conclusions.
