The Civilisation module is designed to introduce first-year students to the major aspects of the historical, social, political, and cultural life of the United States. It provides students with a foundational understanding of the development of American society, while also examining the institutions, structures, and values that continue to shape contemporary America. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the course integrates elements of geography, history, politics, sociology, and cultural studies to promote both informed knowledge and critical awareness of the United States’ national identity.
