The Civilisation module is designed to introduce first-year students to the major aspects of the historical, social, political, and cultural life of the United Kingdom. It provides students with a foundational understanding of the development of British society, while also examining the structures and values that continue to shape contemporary Britain. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the course combines elements of geography, history, politics, sociology, and cultural studies to foster both knowledge and critical awareness of the UK’s identity.
