Fundamental Electrotechnics is an important discipline that studies the production, transmission, conversion, and use of electrical energy. It forms the basis of industrial electrical engineering and combines the skills needed to understand the electrical and magnetic phenomena and their technical application in various electrical equipment and systems. In electrotechnics, the study of transformers (static machines) and rotating electrical machines (generators and motors) plays a central role, because these devices are the basis for the conversion and adaptation of electrical energy. For this reason, this course begins in the first part with a Review of Magnetostatics and Magnetic Circuits necessary for the study of single-phase and three-phase transformers in the second part, and Electric Machines in the third part. For each part, the main theoretical fundamentals and calculation tools are reviewed.
